In the last newsletter of 2025, we’re delighted to announce that Lisa Salas has joined the Association as our new Director of European Affairs, based in Brussels.
Lisa brings more than 25 years of experience advising senior leadership on European labor and employment law, corporate transactions, complex cross-border labor relations, and European Works Councils. Her background spans in-house leadership roles and consulting engagements with major multinational employers, giving her a deep, practical understanding of the issues our members navigate across Europe.
In her new role, Lisa will serve as the primary point of contact for Europe and will lead the European component of our HR Policy Global program, working closely with me and the entire CHRO Association team.
We’re excited to welcome Lisa and the expertise, global perspective, and deep knowledge of European labor law she brings to our community. Her leadership will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen and expand our support to the members. Please join us in giving Lisa a warm welcome, and feel free to reach out to her directly to introduce yourself and explore collaboration opportunities.
A note from Tom Hayes:
“I am absolutely delighted that Lisa will be leading the team in Europe going forward. I’ve known Lisa for many years, both as a close professional colleague and as a very good personal friend. She brings exactly the kind of strong leadership needed in these challenging times, and she knows she can count on my support at any time. The future of the program could not be in better hands. Now let’s all work together to make it even stronger.”
We’re also pleased to share that Tom Hayes will continue with us as a Senior Advisor, and we’re deeply grateful for his ongoing wisdom, expertise, and contributions.
The Global team (Wen, Michelle, Alan, Tom, Lisa, and Derek) wishes you a wonderful holiday season and some well-deserved time off.
