As previously predicted, India’s government announced on January 5 that companies can consider expenses regarding vaccinating individuals in their supply chains and local communities as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) spending. However, vaccinating their own employees will not qualify as CSR. This will help companies with small suppliers, especially in the informal sector, to extend vaccination to their workers.
