Five CHRO Association members were inducted in the 34th class of National Academy of Human Resources Fellows—a recognition that is considered the most prestigious honor in the field of human resources.

Matthew Breitfelder, Global Head of Human Capital, Apollo
Robert E. Ployhart, Bank of America Professor of Business Administration and a Moore Research Fellow in the Management Department of the Darla Moore School of Business, a strategic partner of the CHRO Association, was also inducted.
“These leaders have each played a pivotal role in advancing human resource management, providing thought leadership, shaping policies, influencing best practices and continually giving back to the HR profession,” said Christy Pambianchi, NAHR Chair. The 2025 Fellows “are redefining what leadership looks like in today’s world: strategic, inclusive, tech-savvy and deeply human,” added NAHR President Daniel Marsili.
The CHRO Association congratulates the members of the 2025 Class of Fellows, who have been acknowledged by their peers as reaching the very highest level of achievement in the profession.
Since its founding in 1992, just over 200 individuals have been elected Fellows of the National Academy of Human Resources, and 17 individuals have been further honored as Distinguished Fellows. Additionally, thirteen organizations have been inducted as Honored Organizations for their contributions to the HR profession, including the CHRO Association.
