Amanda H. Beck is a Senior Advisor to CHRO Association. A senior member of the policy team for almost two decades, she previously was Vice President of Public Affairs and Chief Development Officer of the Association. In this role she promoted the work of the Association, the Center On Executive Compensation and the HR Policy Global program. She also developed and managed the Association’s sponsorship program and other external partnerships.

Amanda joined the Association from the U.S. Peace Corps where she served as the agency’s press director, the principal point of contact for the news media and the public, both domestically and in 74 overseas posts. Prior to the Peace Corps, she worked as the senior manager for external affairs at the International Republican Institute and was a top sales executive at a leading speakers bureau in Washington, DC.

After living overseas and traveling extensively as the child of an Air Force attaché, Amanda settled in Tallahassee, Florida where she was the executive director of a state-wide industry association.  She also hosted and produced a weekly television program, was the society columnist for the Tallahassee Democrat and a candidate for local office. 

Amanda is a graduate of the Florida State University and past president of the FSU College of Human Sciences board of directors.  She currently lives with her family in Nashville, Tennessee.
